365 days and counting!

Today marks Fashion 4.0's first year of existence in the blogsphere! We would just like everyone to know that we are very thankful for your support for our humble blog. We promise from now on to provide you with more quality posts week in and week out.

To celebrate our anniversary, we thought of giving all of our readers a chance to have their voices be heard as we name DLSU's most stylish students for the year 2010-2011. Hundreds of nominations were sent to us and because of the overwhelming response, we decided to add one more person to the initial list of ten. Shot by up-and-coming Lasallian fashion photographer Kyla Olives, we've came up with mini-editorial fashion shoots for the 11 most inspiring Lasallian style-philes whom we asked to prepare two sets of looks- dress-up & dress-down. We will reveal them one by one every other day starting tomorrow.

All hail Lasallian fashion!

Fashion Finds feat. Andrew Wilson

Lately, there has been a surge of male Lasallians who dare to express themselves more through what they wear. One of the more popular pegs for the stylish man nowadays is the military, utilitarian trend. Fashion 4.0 taps Andrew Wilson and his accessorizing ways to show you just what we are talking about.

How would you describe your personal style?

Andrew: "Personal style consists of loose clothes. Like a loose shirt, wide round necks. Then loose jeans, drop crotch. Then boots. Just accessorize with leather."

Fashion Focus: Cristina Decena

Fashion focus, as our new segment, documents our chosen ones' daily outfits for an entire school week. The always stylish Cristina Decena (AB-ISA- 109) is first to be featured. She starts her week in school on a Tuesday. Coupled with the photos are here quips about what she wore.

Tuesday

"I needed to be in corporate attire because I had my extemporaneous speech for my SPEECOM class that day. I broke the traditional black and white corporate attire as I matched the vibrant orange with pink and blue, following the color blocking trend. Now who says corporate has to be boring?"

Wednesday

"I paired a lazy white polo with black liquid leggings plus beige pumps. To top off the classic look, I added silver accessories."

Thursday

"I felt like wearing a chill outfit today hence the v-neck shirt and high-waisted shorts. I thought my gray and black wedges went well with my outfit and ta-da! My outfit didn't look so laid-back anymore. (laughs)"

Friday

"I felt like wearing ripped jeans today and I wanted it to be the attention-getter of my outfit. Thus, I paired it with a simple white tank top. I tried on my leopard printed cardigan and I discovered that it went perfectly with the whole ensemble."

Watch out for our upcoming "Fashion focus" posts! Ciao!

100 Years of Lasallian Style

The entire Lasallian community truly lived it up last June 16, 2011 as the proudly green university turned a century old. With the gates of the campus opened to the public, DLSU was jam packed at every corner. This, coupled with the unpredictable weather, did not stop the numerous events that took place. Fashion 4.0 photographed people who represented the quintessential Lasallian, someone who does well in everything without losing a sense of style. On to our next 100 years and Animo La Salle!
